Privacy Policy

Last updated October 4, 2026 · This is a working draft for the private pilot and hasn't had legal review.

Compy is a private workspace for competitive teams, and it's private by default. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who can see it.

The short version

  • Your team's content is visible only to the people on that team.
  • There are no public profiles, public team pages or directory.
  • We use your information to run Compy, not to advertise, and we don't sell it.

What we collect

  • Account: your email address and, if you use it, your Discord username. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider, and your teammates never see them.
  • Profile: your display name, an optional picture, and your position on each team.
  • Team content: strats, lineups and the images or videos you upload, notes, schedule events, availability answers and match records, plus each team's name, picture and timezone.
  • Billing: payments are handled by our payment provider. We keep which plan a team is on, not card numbers.
  • Technical: basic logs and cookies. The cookies keep you signed in and remember which team you last used. We don't use advertising trackers. We haven't chosen an analytics tool, and if we add one we'll update this policy.

Who can see it

People on your team can see the team's content and each other's display names, pictures, positions and availability. Your picture is shown only to people who share a team with you, and a team's picture only to its members, never through a public link.

Service providers that host and run Compy, such as our hosting, database, sign-in, email and payment providers, process information for us under their own terms. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

How we use it

  • To run Compy and show your team its content.
  • To keep Compy secure and fix problems.
  • To bill teams that choose a paid plan.
  • To contact you about your account or the service.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account or team exists. If you leave a team, your availability answers and the record of which notes you've read are deleted, but what you wrote stays with the team as "Former teammate".

If you delete your account, we remove you from every team and delete your availability answers, read marks and picture, and your name is cleared from notes addressed to you. If an Owner deletes a team, its content, including uploaded files, is deleted.

Your choices

You can change your name, picture and position on your Profile, leave a team, and delete your account in Account settings. To ask what we hold about you, or to have something corrected or removed, email hello@compy.gg.

Security

Each team's data is kept separate from other teams', and uploaded files are served only to signed-in members of the team. No service is completely secure, so keep your sign-in details safe.

Children

Compy is built for competitive teams and isn't directed at children.

Changes and contact

We'll change the date above when we update this policy. Questions: hello@compy.gg.
