Terms of Service

Last updated October 6, 2026 · This is a working draft for the private pilot and hasn't had legal review.

These terms cover your use of Compy, a private workspace for competitive Counter-Strike 2 teams. By creating an account or using Compy, you agree to them.

Your account

You need an account to use Compy. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, give accurate information, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under it.

You can change your name and picture on your Profile, and delete your account in Account settings. A team's owner has to transfer ownership or delete the team first.

Teams and access

A team is a private workspace, and whoever creates it is its Owner. Owners and Managers decide who has access: anyone with the team's invite code can join as a Member until the code is changed, and Owners and Managers can change anyone's access or remove them.

Only the people on a team can see its content. Compy has no public profiles, team pages or directory.

Your content

Strats, lineups, notes, schedules, match records, pictures and anything else you add belong to you or your team. You give Compy permission to store it, process it and show it to your team so the service can work.

Only add what you have the right to add. What you write stays with your team if you leave or delete your account, and shows as "Former teammate". Deleting a team deletes its content.

Using Compy fairly

  • Don't try to see another team's data, or to break, probe or overload Compy.
  • Don't scrape or copy Compy automatically, or resell access to it.
  • Don't add anything unlawful, harmful or abusive, or anything that could infect other people's devices.
  • Leagues and tournaments set their own rules. Compy doesn't promise it's allowed in any competition, so check before you use it during live play.

Plans and billing

Compy has a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. A plan belongs to a team, and its Owner or a Manager manages it. Each plan has limits, which you can see in your team's Settings.

Paid plans are billed per team. The price, billing period and renewal terms are shown before you subscribe. We may change plans, limits and prices as we learn how teams use Compy, and a change won't alter what you've already paid for.

The private pilot

Compy is being tested with a small number of teams. Features can change, break or go away, and the service may be unavailable at times. Keep a copy of anything you can't afford to lose.

Counter-Strike and other content

Compy is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Counter-Strike 2's names and imagery, including the map, side and equipment art Compy shows, belong to Valve. The simple map radars are fan-made, from the Boltobserv project and Lexogrine, and used under their open-source licences. Links to other sites, such as lineup videos, belong to their owners.

Ending your use

You can stop using Compy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other teams at risk.

Our responsibility

Compy is provided as is, without a promise that it will always work or be free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for lost data, lost matches or other indirect losses from using it.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. If you keep using Compy after a change, you accept it.
